The Picasso Trigger
Possibly one of the bonniest triggerfish is the Picasso Trigger. They have such a unique set of markings that truly are a work of art. They are a very active fish that loves nothing more than swimming in and out of crevices and caves. It will rearrange the landscaping and rocks as it wanders in and out of the caves.
Not always in my LFS when I visit but when they are I notice this bright fish straight away. They are readily available but tend not to stay in the shops due to their popularity.
Aggressive – just like all other triggers. They do well in a fish-only set up with other large tank mates. Although this is fully dependent on the individual as each trigger fish has a different temperament and some can be kept on a reef tank with no issue at all.
No – They will pick at some corals and rearrange the rock work as they move in and out of caves
I will just show you a photo as this fish has so many unique markings and colors
The Picasso Triggerfish needs a varied diet of meaty foods including; squid, krill, clams, small fish and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever growing teeth
